Braces

Back in July/August we got her braces taken off.  She’s been out of state too much to get regular care on her braces, she kept breaking them in residential.  So, we took them off.  I told her someday we would put them back on, when she’s better.  Well last night this all came to a head.  Actually, let me back up.  First, she had a dinner pass last night.  So, 4 of the 5 of us sat down to dinner together.  I know this was never the girls’ favorite meals, but my husband has asked for it multiple times.  So, I made it.  My other daughter took a bite, said she didn’t like it, and got up to make herself something different.  My sick daughter got up and left the room.  She wasn’t eating it if her sister wasn’t, this isn’t fair, if she can get her own food why can’t I.  Let’s break it down.  Your sister is not sick.  Your ED makes it impossible for you to get your own food.  So, I plate your food, you eat your food.  That is how this works.  I ended up leaving with my other daughter and my husband got the other kid to eat a bit and then drink a supplement.  But she was already in a mood.  Fast forward to her calling me telling me she wants her braces back on.  I told her no and we would talk later.  I get home.  Immediately I want to get my braces back on.  No.  I’ve told you, when you are better and I’m not changing my mind.  She was all upset blah blah blah.  I said this is just another thing your ED has taken from you.  There is no one else to be mad at other than your ED.  Get mad at your ED.  Fight back.  No.  I’m never getting rid of my ED, I won’t get mad at my ED, I like my ED.  Well then you don’t get braces.  I’ll get braces when I’m 88 and you’re dead.  Ok, you do that.  Then she refused meds and snack.  And wouldn’t give up her phone.  She stuck it in her sports bra, so I told her to get out of my room.  EDs are amazing.
