We’ve been in 6-hour PHP for just over a week now. And she’s completed dinner approximately 0 times. The last 3 nights have been complete refusals. I had to take her twin sister to Minnesota for a cheer competition this week. Not had, but I wanted to, I missed most of her cheer comps last season. So, she was home with her dad. Her Dad text me Sunday evening and said we need to put her back in 10-hour PHP until she discharges. I said no. She can eat there; she has to eat at home. That takes practice and work. You don’t get to call it quits after 2 meals when I’ve been doing this forever. I also feel like her team at McCallum has given up on her. I haven’t had any communication with them in weeks. We’ve had no family therapy like we’re supposed to have for weeks, other than the 2 sibling sessions. But even if those were counting as family therapy (which I assume they are) that’s 2 weeks. We’ve been here over 2 months. I’m disappointed. I email and get no response. She is still being fed, and I can check her labs directly with Quest. But I haven’t even got a treatment plan for the last 2 weeks and we’re supposed to get those weekly and they are supposed to be signed off on. So, I have no idea how they are doing that. It’s just frustrating. I feel like every other place before. They start off strong and want to help. Then realize she’s impossible and they are just counting down the days until discharge. I mean when she started refusing breakfast at home, we told her no meal passes until she was completing that. Well then, they wanted her to have meal passes. Which she never completed, but then we stepped down to 6 hours. Then they gave us a discharge date. It makes zero sense to me. I know she can’t stay in treatment forever. And my goal is to keep her home as long as possible. Her goal is to lose weight as quickly as possible. I hate this mf’ing disease.
