Christmas

We made it through Christmas.  That was a goal for me.  It wasn’t pretty, but we made it.  All 5 of us together.  We all got to open presents together Christmas morning.  It was a normal day, other than one kid doesn’t eat.  I got a picture of all 3 girls (and the 2 dogs) with Santa Claus.  She has her mask on and has told me I can’t show anyone, but I have a picture.  The first one of all 3 girls since May of 2021.  This made me so happy.  We went and watched the new Puss in Boots last night.  As a family.  Again, it was normal.  Everything was normal other than she doesn’t eat.  But she is eating.  We left the hospital, and she was doing Raisin Bran and cottage cheese for “brunch” and an ensure plus for dinner.  The brunch has already decreased in size and the ensure plus has changed to a cliff bar.  So, we won’t be out of the hospital for long on 300ish calories a day, but we should make it to the first of the year.  We meet with her new psychiatrist and doctor tomorrow.  I don’t expect any miraculous information, but I do want to talk to them about ideas and what they think steps forward should be because I am completely at a loss.  But for now, I’m going to enjoy having all of my kids home and letting her have as much as a normal life as I can.
