Vacation!!

She made it on an airplane.  And in a rental car.  And is staying in a hotel.  You guys, this is huge!!  Now the eating is a struggle.  And will always be a struggle.  But she sat on an airplane seat w/out a towel on it.  She got in a rental car she has no idea who rode in it before us or what they ate.  So, let’s back up. One of her goals has been to go on vacation.  To go on a trip.  We love to travel, she’s grown-up traveling.  She hasn’t been able to travel in over 4 years.  Other than to treatment centers, but that really doesn’t count.  So, she thought she could go somewhere.  If and only if everyone also went.   Well, I didn’t think we were going to be able to do that until October based on other commitments other people have this summer.  She did not want to wait.  She wondered if there was any time both of her sisters were going to be gone.  There were 3 days that her oldest sister was at a horse show and her twin sister was at high school cheer camp.  So, she said let’s go then.  So, Monday morning we hopped on a plane to Arizona.  We fly home Wednesday night.  So, a short vacation.  But she did it.  And she’s eating.  Some.  Is she eating enough?  I have no idea.  We’ll have a week after we get home before she has to go to the doctor so hopefully anything she backtracks while we are here.  And I talked to my therapist this morning (who was so happy for us too!) and like she said, it was a long jump.  Even if she falls back on her ass and has to regain her balance and stability she’s still so much ahead of where she was before she jumped.  Sometimes little baby steps can turn into huge jumps.

On a side note, while editing this I find I use So a lot.  Like a lot a lot!  What word should I replace it with?  Do you have a word you find yourself using repeatedly?
