So we survived. A week on a ship. A week without access to all her safe foods and grocery stores if something went wrong. Do I think she ate like she was supposed to. Um no. Do I think she didn’t eat some days. Yes. Do I think she’s going to be ok before we go back to the doctor. Also, yes. I know she drank every day as I helped her get water if she needed help. So as long as we were drinking. The eating is not AS important. She had some stressful days and times and things happening. Several times we weren’t sure she was going to leave her room for the rest of the cruise. But you know what, she always did. She did not spend one full day in her room at all. Everyday she managed to come out and at least do something. She started by eating some watermelon from the buffet. By the end of the cruise she couldn’t eat anything from the buffet as she was afraid even just when closing her eyes to blink there were so many people around that someone was going to put oil on her food real quick. So she just couldn’t do it. But she packed some food with her. She bought some food in the gift store. And she ate food on our drive back home. So even if she didn’t eat everyday, she’s getting back into the habit of eating and not letting a little blip completely derail her. And I think she had fun. I think she enjoyed being part of the real world and getting to do things.
