Eating Disorder Slayer

I was just adding a blog post and I reread my bio.  Much of it is true.  However, Eating Disorder Slayer.  I must have been in a hopeful mood when I wrote that.  I wanted to be an Eating Disorder Slayer.  I so badly wanted to do that and give my daughter her life back.  But I am definitely not an Eating Disorder Slayer.  I’m not sure what I should change that to.  A Parent Survivor of an Eating Disorder that affected my entire life and family.  An Eating Disorder Placater.  An Eating Disorder still controls much of our life but we’ve learned to adapt to it.  I have no idea.  I doubt I update it right now.  I will when the thought comes to me that seems perfect for this stage in my life.   That says to all you Eating Disorder Slayer hopeful.  Hope for the best, dream big.  But don’t feel too disappointed if you fall short.  This is not something you can do alone.  No matter what they tell you and no matter who says adding weight will stop the voices.  Your child has to want it too.  They have to decide they are ready.  And until then, you have to figure out how to live.  Life stops until you eat, is only so useful if you literally have nothing else and no one else in the world to care for.  Because I promise you, stopping life for everyone else, will only come back to kick you in the ass at the end of the day.
